For Port City’s May Trivia, we’ll looking at the various facts and foibles of the Silver Screen.
The Tasting Room opens at 4 p.m. Trivia starts at 7 p.m. Come match wits with your craft-beer drinking comrades in an effort to attain the coveted title of “Port City Trivia Champion.” Your host, and Trivia Czar, Sean Malone, will come prepared with a bag of secret prizes, the contents of which are known to only himself and a small group of wealthy, elite, ruling-class lizard people.
Rules: Trivia will start promptly at 7 p.m.. Teams are limited to no more than 4 people. No smart phones or mobile devices allowed during competition.
***Costumes and general flair are strongly encouraged, especially anything directly pertaining to the theme.***

Come stretch out with us on Tuesday, June 2, at 7 p.m. for BeerYoga. There is a $15 registration fee that covers the class and a post-yoga pint. (Make sure you get your pint ticket when you check in.) Only 40 spots for Beer Yoga, so sign up for the class here. (Registration will open up for this class the day of the prior class, May 19.)
What to bring & wear: Yoga mat, bottle of water and towel Wear comfortable clothing you can easily move in, bend and stretch. We do yoga in the brewhouse and it could get a little chilly, so make sure to wear layers.
Class description: Suitable for beginners and experienced students, this yoga class will challenge your balance, strength and flexibility. You will be guided through basic and advanced yoga poses, and learn breathing techniques to help alleviate physical tension and mental stress. All levels welcome!
The Port City Tasting Room will be open until 9 p.m. to enjoy your post-posing pint.
By registering for the #BeerYoga Class at Port City, you are agreeing to the following release and waiver of liability.
I understand BeerYoga classes with abellaYoga and Port City Brewing Company may be physically strenuous and involve stretching and movement that will increase my heart rate. I voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is risk of bodily injury, including death. I also understand that hands-on physical adjustments may be given during a yoga class to prevent injury and improve my understanding of the yoga postures. If I do not wish to be to touched, it is my responsibility to notify the instructor before beginning. I agree that neither I, my heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any claims of any kind whatsoever against abellaYoga or YOGAbella, Inc. (including its officers, owners, instructors and agents) or Port City Brewing Company for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. Join Fancy Cats Rescue Team, Northern Virginia’s largest feline rescue organization, for Brews for Rescues. Rockland’s Barbecue will be out with their food truck and live music will be provided by Wes Tucker, Derek Evry and Jackson Edwards. Plus, Fancy Cats Rescue will be having a 50/50 raffle!

Join Port City Brewing and other local breweries on the rooftop of Charlie Palmers… “in the shadow of the Capitol,” for an evening of local beer, delicious food pairings, and a view that has been called the best in the city. All proceeds go to Brain Food, an incredibly worthy local non-profit. Each brewery will provide one beer matched with Chef Jeff’s excellent farm-to-table food, as well as an entirely unique firkin that has been conditioned with fruits, vegetables, and herbs from a local garden.
