About the event
At Port City we take our Lagers seriously, so much so that we have an entire series dedicated to Lagers! When we first debuted our Lager Series in 2017, we opened with the Helles Lager, which quickly became a fan favorite. It is only fitting that for this year’s Helles release weekend, we throw a party dedicated just to Lagers!
On April 29th, for the first time ever, we will be serving 10 Port City Lagers in one day, including our newest favorite, Pizza Night! All Lagers are subject to availability as some are just one keg we have reserved for the event. Come early and come thirsty!
We lager our lagers! What that means is, we don’t just use lager yeast and cold-ferment the beer to create a delicious lager (noun). We also lager (verb) them. To lager, is to store. We store our beer in holding tanks for weeks until they are ready to be served. This extra step, lagering the lagers, takes time, space, money, and it’s all worth it to produce delicious lagers!
