The Wheeler Ave Derby

Start your engines! On Sunday, June 30th please join us at Port City Brewing Company for the inaugural Wheeler Ave Derby. 32 teams will compete by racing small, wooden cars down a sloped track powered by gravity in hopes to win the title of "Wheeler Ave Derby Champion". Doors open at Noon for racers to submit their car to the judges and make some test runs. First cars hit the track at 1pm, so make sure to arrive early and grab a good viewing spot. Sip a beer and watch tiny cars go fast!

Teams of one or two people can register. $15 for entry with a derby car kit or $10 for entry and bring your own car (as long as it follows the Wheeler Ave Guidelines spelled out here: https://wheeleravederbyrules.my.canva.site/). Registration is due by June 16th, derby kits can be picked up during normal business hours in our tasting room once registered. Join us in racing for a cause as we support the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia!
