About the event
Port City and The Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund are teaming up on Saturday March 11th for an afternoon of live music to support deserving young musicians.
Starting at 2pm we will have an array of local musicians performing in Port City's indoor beer garden benefiting the Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund. The event is free to attend and donations are welcome. Come grab a beer, enjoy some live music and donate if you can.
About The Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund:
The Alexandria Music Makers Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing non-primary school music education to young musicians who might not otherwise have the opportunity. Relying on donations to pay scholarship awardees’ tuition. Annual tuition in our area is approximately $2,300 per student. Music increases children’s IQs, as well as their happiness level. Quality music education has been linked with the development of the life skills needed to succeed.
