Port City Brewing's Altbier is inspired by traditional styles from Düsseldorf, Germany. Altbiers are fermented at cooler temperatures than most ales, followed by lagering for several weeks, which results in a clean, dry finish. Not usually a dry-hopped beer, we decided to break the rules slightly and dry-hopped our Altbier with Hersbrucker hops. This beer offers a spicy, floral aroma featuring a smooth, malty backbone with notes of bread and toffee. Complimented by balanced firm hop bitterness, it's crushable and delicious! This malty brew is the perfect companion for crisp spring days. 5.8% abv
Altbier will be available on draft for onsite consumption only.
