About the event

LIVE AT PORT CITY BREWERY, SATURDAY, JUNE 4TH 6-9PM Join us on Saturday, June 4th for an outdoor live concert featuring Alexandria’s own Hanoi Ragmen as they celebrate two new June 3rd releases, including a re-boot of their fan-favorite, the uptempo rocker Animalisms, and the introspective and dynamic Moonbelly. Hanoi Ragmen is joined at Port City by local singer/songwriter The Frontier as well Alexandria-based rock band Indigo Thursday. Hanoi Ragmen is an Alexandria-based alternative rock band with strong ties to their community. This connection comes through in their music, as their forthcoming album “The Oldlight,” takes its name from the iconic lamp posts that line the streets of Alexandria. It’s fitting then that Hanoi Ragmen kick off their summer live shows Port City Brewery...also named for their hometown. Recently signed to Alexandria-based record label Baffin Records, Hanoi Ragmen brings to the stage a slew of new songs, all set for release in Summer of 2022.

Jake Mimikos, aka The Frontier, is a singer/songwriter originally from Reseda, CA who moved to the East coast at a young age. Originally, The Frontier was going to be just a casual side project, but it turned into something much more than that.  After many original releases, licensing deals (his music has been featured on The CW, MTV, Netflix, and NPR), and fans around the world, new Frontier songs are still coming. The Frontier’s latest single Closer can be heard anywhere music is streamed or downloaded. Indigo Thursday is an Alexandria VA-based rock band that is quickly establishing itself as one of the area’s most promising up-and-comers. While Indigo Thursday has already performed on stages around the DC area with Del Ray’s Rock of Ages Music school, the band kicks off the June 4th Port City concert on its own; the first of several upcoming live performances. Currently recording their original material, Indigo Thursday is planning to release new music in 2022 and beyond.
